Amanda is an amazing teacher. Her understanding and love of yoga really rubs off on her students which makes her yoga sessions really enjoyable. Amanda does not impose a set routine; instead she focuses on your abilities, whether advanced or beginner, to gradually build up proficiency. I would highly recommend anyone to Amanda’s yoga classes.
I was completely new to yoga and Amanda introduced me to the art about 9 months ago. Now, I participate in her classes as often as I can. Amanda has a very thorough knowledge, love and passion for yoga from a holistic perspective. It’s not just about the exercise but also about the inner aspects, breath and contentedness. She incorporates themes for every month, so the classes build up nicely and have consistency. She is an outstanding teacher and guides everyone in her class to explore their personal yoga paths. I am looking forward to many more classes with her.
Amanda conducted a series of Yoga lessons in our office with the challenge of a not so ideal environment due to the surrounding noise but she ensured that the students are still able to concentrate with her focused guidance. Amanda is very patient where she took the time to explain the purpose and functions of each yoga pose. This helps the students to understand and appreciate the lesson better. In this way, it also makes learning more effective. Amanda is also very observant where she will take note of the individual’s difficulties or weak point and will address it in the next session where you will be ensured that you are able to correct yourself with a better posture each time. Amanda introduced the different breathing technique accordingly to the change of weather etc which I personally find it very thoughtful. I would recommend anyone to take up a private or group yoga lesson with Amanda Ling for a healthier lifestyle.
As a highly stressed and time starved working individual, exercise was never a priority. Having tried several classes with different instructors before, it was only when I started taking lessons from Amanda that I truly appreciated how yoga can help improve my well-being. Her gentle, soothing but focused demeanor allows me to centre myself, leaving her sessions always calm me down after a long day
Amanda teaches a class that is accessible to everyone, her discipline shines through, with just the right balance of yoga philosophy, anatomy and applicability to today. I have learnt so much, in her classroom and 1 on 1 lessons. Great teacher with a lot of passion.
Chetan was diagnosed with Autism with higher functionality when he was 2.5 years old. Some of our main concerns with him were his focus and stimming behavior (he used to flap his hands and shiver his body very often). Yoga and breathing practice with Amanda helped him with his balancing skills. It helped to regulate himself better.
